While snow is a possibility as early as late November, there are more chances of it sticking around for a few days in late December, January, and February. Slick rock may have ice on north facing trails, moss is damp and slick. When it freezes overnight, the trail may be ride-able in the early mornings or late afternoon. Mid day is thawing and usually muddy. Overall, good dirt conditions. Ride through puddles not around them. Check for recommended trail closures and resource the Arizona Department of Transportation for any road closures along i17 and 89a. Bring appropriate gear essentials!

Spring starts with several festivals, including the MTB, Film, and Yoga festival. The trails and town may feel congested so we recommend riding to the trail head (if you're on a bike). Gear up for some awesome events and make sure you stop and smell the primrose! Desert flowers are in bloom- a showcase to the photographer's eye. And hold onto your hat! Winds can be gusty, moving pollen and dust in the air. Snow and ice are melting but, keep in mind that Sedona's last chance of freezing temps and snow flurries can appear as late as mid May!

Rain storms may last less than half the day, but likely to clear after three hours. Check the weather forecast and radar before accessing the trails! Bring appropriate gear essentials!

Monsoon rains roll into September but rarely last all day. Trail conditions are typically ideal, but this is high season for users-- be aware of trail surroundings! Also be on the look out for the Grand Spider Migration that occurs late October or early November. Spiders clip their silks to catch a sail across the sky on particularly windier days. That sparkling tinsel in the air? Spiderwebs. Its mostly harmless and lasts one week max. Winds can be gusty, icy, yet, manageable through mid December.
